Ali Tabrizi takes us on a shocking journey of discovery about the destruction of our precious oceans and why it’s critical we rethink our relationship with the sea. It’s definitely worth a watch, with some key messages about our relationship with the sea, however, it has also been criticised as propaganda and not rooted in genuine fact and analysis. It has also been suggested it is quite a one-dimensional white, male, middle-class viewpoint and unfairly categorises and blames certain ethnic groups. This opinion explains why yes, it’s important we reduce our fish consumption but perhaps it isn’t quite as simple as that.
