HEAT PUMPS FOR DOMESTIC CENTRAL HEATING.
The UK Government has not yet set a deadline but plan to make it mandatory that all new house builds should use low-carbon alternatives to a gas boiler. This makes it likely that a heat pump will grow in popularity as the means of heating dwellings
Gas and oil-fired boilers, and solid fuel stoves will all fall below required carbon efficiency standards. In some cases when an existing heating boiler has reached the end of its life, it may be possible to replace it with a heat pump.
There are two main types of heat pump
- Air Source Heat Pump.
- Ground Source Heat Pump.
